The Oklahoma City Omni Hotel: Exceptional Arrival Experience
As soon as we pulled up to the Oklahoma City Omni, the valet team greeted us with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. Moreover, check-in was seamless and efficient. They already knew it was our anniversary because I had made reservations months in advance. To our delight, they welcomed us with complimentary drink vouchers and a sweet dessert sent to our room. Who could resist a free dessert, right?
Having spent several years in the hospitality industry, both Dawna and I appreciated the level of service we received at the Oklahoma City Omni. Consequently, we tipped the staff generously, recognizing their effort in making our stay memorable. In addition, the baggage team who brought our luggage up to our room were just as friendly and attentive. They took the time to ensure everything was perfect, which made us feel like truly valued guests. The attention to detail in the service we received set a wonderful tone for our entire stay.
Dining at Bob’s Steak and Chop House
That evening, we made dinner reservations at Bob’s Steak and Chop House, located within the Oklahoma City Omni Hotel. Known for its exceptional food and ambiance, we anticipated a fantastic dining experience. As a couple who loves to splurge on special occasions, we looked forward to indulging in a memorable meal. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, perfectly suited for a romantic anniversary dinner.
When it came time to order, we both chose steaks, the restaurant’s specialty. Even though I wished they had a sea bass option, I settled for the bone-in Kansas City Strip, while Dawna chose the prime filet. Without a doubt, both steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Each meal came with their famous honey-brown sugar carrots, which were simply delightful and complemented the steaks beautifully.
For drinks, Dawna opted for a top-shelf margarita, and I selected a smoked Negroni. Let me tell you, the presentation of my drink was stunning. It arrived on what appeared to be a cake dish, trapped in hickory smoke, and garnished with an orange peel. Additionally, despite being full, the staff insisted on giving us a fudge chocolate brownie to-go to celebrate our anniversary. We were blown away by the attentive service, especially given how busy it was due to the Luke Bryan concert happening just across the street at the Paycom Center. Overall, our dining experience at Bob’s truly showcased the high standards of service and quality that the Oklahoma City Omni Hotel prides itself on.
A Delicious Breakfast at the Seltzer Bar
The next morning, we made our way to the Seltzer Bar to use our drink vouchers, excited for what awaited us. We decided to try the Sunrise Mimosas alongside the Peach Cobbler French Toast. Honestly, I cannot describe how amazing this dish was. By far, it was the best French toast I’ve ever had, topped with caramelized peaches and whipped cream. The flavors melded together perfectly, creating a delightful breakfast experience that we won’t soon forget.
As we enjoyed our meal, the friendly staff made sure our glasses were never empty, enhancing the overall experience. Furthermore, the atmosphere in the Seltzer Bar felt lively and inviting, making it a great spot to start the day. As we wrapped up our meal, we felt a sense of satisfaction and joy from the entire weekend at the Oklahoma City Omni Hotel. It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary before we checked out.
A Lasting Impression
Upon checking out, we couldn’t help but reflect on our wonderful experience at the Oklahoma City Omni Hotel. Ultimately, our only regret was not booking an extra night. However, with our busy lives, we’re thankful for the time we spent at the hotel.
This was our second time experiencing an Omni hotel, but our first in Oklahoma City. Previously, we visited the Omni in Dallas during the OU/TX weekend about 12 years ago. While that trip was enjoyable, the new construction of the Oklahoma City hotel felt much more modern and swanky. The attention to design and comfort truly set this location apart, making it an ideal choice for a romantic getaway.
