The Hilton Honors Card: The Best Card for Booking Hotels
With the Hilton Card, earning points is effortless. Earn generous points for every dollar spent on eligible purchases, accelerating your journey towards complimentary stays, upgrades, and more. From everyday expenses to travel bookings, every purchase brings you closer to your next Hilton getaway.
Here is a list of benefits with this card.
- Enjoy complimentary silver status with your Card. Silver status gives you a 20% Bonus on Base Points you earn on every stay, plus, you receive the fifth night free when you book a standard room stay with 100% Points.
- No foreign Transaction fees. A big plus in my eyes. Enjoy international travel without additional fees on purchases made abroad.
- An 80% Bonus on Base Points you earn on every stay.
- Fifth night free when you book a standard room stay with 100% Points.
- Space-available room upgrades. -Probably my favorite aspect of the card.
Myth Debunked: Credit Cards Are a Trap.
This is one man’s opinion when it comes to credit cards.
They are only a trap if you allow them to be.
Simply put, use the card and pay off the balance at the end of the month. Theoretically speaking, if you are always traveling for business, why not rack up the points? Especially if your company will reimburse you on the expenses for business travel.
If this isn’t you, then that’s ok too. You have to manage this just like any other bill. When it’s due, pay the piper and reap the rewards. The interest can pile up if it’s mismanaged. But if you do plan on booking hotels in the Hilton family, racking up the points for free nights can be rewarding.
Car Rental Loss Protection
Another bonus of the Hilton honors Card is their rental car protection and features.
Getting into your Rental Vehicle can be the start of a great vacation. When you use your Eligible Card to reserve and pay for the Entire Rental and decline the collision damage waiver (CDW) at the Rental Company counter, you can be covered for Damage to or Theft of a Rental Vehicle in a Covered Territory.
A great feature if you’re asking me!
Clear Plus Rewards
Clear Plus helps get you to your gate faster by using unique facial attributes to verify you are you at 50 plus airports nationwide. Receive up to $189 per calendar year in statement credits, when you pay for a CLEAR Plus Membership (subject to auto-renewal) with your Card.
Thoughts and Takeaways
And that will wrap things up for today. The Hilton Honors Card is the way to go for booking hotels and traveling in general. If managed properly, you can reap the benefits of traveling and unlock those savings like never before. I think this card stands out because it speaks to the average traveler whether that is for business or leisure. I hope you enjoyed this article.
