Hi there! Today we are going to talk about Ken’s Steak and Ribs.
This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of visiting one of my favorite restaurants in the state: Ken’s Steak and Ribs in Amber, Oklahoma. Typically, I make it a point to stop by on my way to the Festival of Lights in Chickasha each December. However, since I happened to be in the area that day, I figured, why not enjoy a meal at this iconic Oklahoma eatery?
Without further ado, lets jump into the article.

Ken’s Steak and Ribs: Not Your Everyday Restaurant

Ken’s Steak and Ribs is a beloved family-owned restaurant nestled in Amber, Oklahoma. Despite its modest exterior, resembling an old gas station, the establishment offers a dining experience that keeps patrons returning. Open Thursday through Saturday from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM, it’s a must-visit for those seeking authentic, flavorful meals.

Ken’s stands out with its straightforward menu: prime rib, a 3 or 5 rib dinner, smoked sausage, and steak. Each meal includes a choice of baked potato or curly fries, generously topped with sour cream, butter, and cheese. The highlight is the complimentary rib appetizer served to every diner. Many patrons, including myself, find it hard to choose between the prime rib and the rib dinner, often alternating between the two.
The Salad Bar: A Meal in Itself

The salad bar at Ken’s is exceptional. It features ice-cold plates and fresh greens, accompanied by shaved carrots, red onions, radishes, and crisp cucumbers. Additionally, patrons can enjoy smoked pinto beans and crispy fried okra. For many, the salad bar alone is a satisfying meal. My wife Dawna loves the salad bar and especially the big block of cheddar cheese that can easily be a fan favorite among many people.
Service That Feels Like Family

The service at Ken’s is warm and attentive. Staff members are known for their friendliness and efficiency, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared-for. This personal touch enhances the overall dining experience, making each visit memorable.
I’m big on service, and Kens never disappoints.
A Tradition Worth Continuing
My wife, Dawna, and our daughter, Maddy, often stop by Ken’s during our trips to the Festival of Lights in Chickasha each December. This year, we decided to visit while we were in town, and it was as delightful as ever. The consistent quality of food and service makes Ken’s a cherished tradition for our family.
