Hi there! Today we are going to head to the Porter Peach Festival.

As far as summer festivals are concerned, this ranks high on my list for celebrating small town Oklahoma.

With its rich traditions, vibrant community, and mouth-watering peaches, this festival captures the essence of Oklahoma. Experience the warmth of the local community and the joy of a summer day filled with fun. This year marks the 58th Annual Porter Peach Festival, running from July 18th to July 20th. From delicious food to live entertainment, the festival offers something for everyone.

The History of The Porter Peach Festival

For 58 years, the town of Porter shuts down and celebrates everything Peach on the 3rd week of July.

Located just three miles south of Porter, Livesay Orchards offers the freshest peaches and produce. Here, you can shop for delicious peaches and a variety of peach-based products. The orchard provides an authentic farm experience, allowing visitors to connect with the source of these delectable fruits. Established in 1916, Blackledge Brothers Orchards began growing peaches in the Porter area.

By the 1970s, they became Blackledge-Fischer Orchards, the largest peach producers in Oklahoma. Today, Livesay Orchards continues this proud tradition, offering high-quality produce to visitors.

The Peach Barn

Approximately seven miles east of Porter, The Peach Barn is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth. Indulge in tasty peach desserts that highlight the fruit’s natural sweetness. From peach cobbler to peach ice cream, the offerings at The Peach Barn are a true delight. In 1997, Kent and Dawna Livesay, growers of peaches for over 50 years, purchased the farm market. They renamed it The Peach Barn—Orchard and Bakery and expanded it to include ice cream, a bakery, lunch items, gifts, and more. Their dedication has transformed it into a beloved local institution, drawing visitors from near and far.

From popular food trucks to tractor pulls, the festival has something for all ages.

Experience Main Street Festivities

During the festival, Porter’s downtown Main Street transforms into a lively hub of activity. Shop at numerous arts and crafts vendors, participate in street games, and enjoy live music. The variety of fair food available ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Stroll down Main Street and take in the vibrant atmosphere as local artists and craftsmen display their unique creations. From handmade jewelry to bespoke crafts, there’s a treasure for every shopper.

Enjoy a Packed Schedule of Events

The Porter Peach Festival features a range of events over several days. On Thursday, July 18th at 7:00 pm, enjoy “Porter’s Got Talent” followed by Avery Brown in concert on the main stage. Friday, July 19th will consist of shopping, food trucks, tractor pulls, a catfish dinner fundraiser for Porter School, and a concert by Legacy Grace Lowenberg.
