There is a lot to consider when you purchase your first kayak.

You have to consider price, the type of water you will be paddling in, and what features to look for.

Vibe Kayaks: What to Expect

 

 

 

They are great for beginners.

I first got into kayaking back in 2016 on the Oklahoma lakes.

It was my friend Russell who first introduced me to kayak fishing, and at that moment in time, I knew I had to get one.

But with so many models to choose from, I knew I had to really do my research before I shelled out the money to feed this type of hobby.

However, it was that moment in time, that I needed something that was going to be great for a beginner like me, so off into the rabbit hole I went.

So many things come to mind when you make a purchase for a toy. Where would I kayak? Stability. And finally features.

Fast forward to 2017, and I finally pulled the plug after 9 or 10 months of research and I purchased one of the best kayaks on the market.

 

The Seaghost 130

 

 

On black Friday of 2017, I purchased the Seaghost 130. This kayak was going to be ideal for what I was wanting to accomplish.

Was it stable? Check. Was it affordable? Check. Did it have the built-in features such as the rudder and extra storage space. Check and Check.

These kayaks start off around 900 dollars for the Seaghost 130. Yes, they have kayaks on the market that are more affordable, but they didn’t check the boxes I needed when it came to making this type of purchase.

I consider myself average in size, and I needed something that I was going to be able to stand up in and fish out of. The Vibe exceeded my expectations on stability.

But I was also needing something that didn’t weigh a ton. Typically, I have to load/unload this by myself, and the Seaghost 130 weighs around 75 lbs.

 

Expect Excellent Customer Service

How many times have we made a purchase on something we thought was going to be a great product only to find out the customer service sucks?

Well, I’m sure we have all been there at least one time or another.

With vibe kayaks, you can expect superior customer service.

For example, a couple of years ago, the seat buckle on my kayak seat had broken off after a couple of years of wear and tear.

I called the customer service support line, and I had a new seat shipped to me no questions asked.

That is what I call great customer service!

Yes, after countless trips on the rivers and lakes in Oklahoma enjoying one of my favorite pastimes, Vibe sent me a new seat.

 

The Features

 

With vibe kayaks, you get some built-in features that you can’t find with any other brand.

The Seaghost 130 has the built-in rudder to combat the Oklahoma windy days for maneuvering through the water.

Better yet, they also have tons of storage space inside the hull and console.

I can easily fit an extra paddle, a tent, an ice chest, and multiple fishing poles when I kayak.

Inside the console, I can also fit a dry bag that will keep my valuables such as my cell phone and wallet along with any kind of snacks I bring on my trip.

Again, this is a win-win.

 

They Are Made for Fishing

If you love fishing like me, then this might be the kayak you should consider.

I tell people all the time, I can squeeze into spots on the river and lake that a bass boat cannot.

For fishing, you will need something that is going to be quiet and allow you to get into the tough fishing spots that the other big boats can’t produce.

This is probably one of my favorite aspects when it comes to the vibe kayaks, is that they are quiet and stealthy.
