The Top 7 fun things to do at Turner Falls

#1- Go Swimming at the Base of a Waterfall

To cool off on a hot Oklahoma day, you need to head to the natural swimming hole at the base of Turner Falls. The park has three different areas you can swim at- the base of the waterfall, the Blue Hole Pool, and Honey Creek. Every area is kid-friendly too.

#2- Explore an Ancient Castle

Turner Falls has a beautiful castle known as Collings Castle. This rare castle was built by Dr. Collins in the 1930’s as his private residence. The castle was built with native stone and materials inspired by English architecture. Your kids will love exploring the crumbling grounds of the castle as well as the main building, which is all still intact. For even a better view, take the narrow, twisting staircase all the way to the top of the main tower. This will be your selfie moment.

#3- Zipline through the Arbuckle Mountains

Companies such as Donkey Zipline Adventures and 777 Zip both offer a variety of zipline opportunities for seeing the Arbuckle Mountains. Be sure to check out on height and age requirements before going to make sure your kids aren’t disappointed. You can find out more on this fun activity at https:// www.turnerfallszip.com

#4- Hit up a Chocolate Factory

Located at the Southwest corner of Interstate-35 and State Highway 7 is home to The Bedre Fine Chocolate Factory. Whether you like milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or caramel-filled delights, you’ll find it all at Bedre Fine Chocolates.  https://bedrechocolates.com

#5- Go Cave Exploring

The caves at Turner Falls attract thousands of visitors each year.

Who doesn’t love cool caves to wander through? The three caves at Turner Falls are above the waterfall but they are hidden. Try and spot the sleeping bats and other wildlife that call these caves their home. All of the caves have tight spaces and can be dark, so don’t forget your flashlight and hiking boots.

#6- Fishing for Trout

Turner Falls is an excellent place to fish for trout. The Park is well-known for its abundant trout in the waters. If you happen to visit Turner Falls during the winter, trout fishing will be available from late November through the middle of March.
